I believe that this is a BMW 502 Cabrio by Baur, similar to the one Lothar Schuettler has.  compare this to Lothar's Cabrio:

(UPDATE:  I am mistaken on this.  Uwe has informed me:  "Tom you're wrong. It is a 502 Autenrieth convertible.  :)"   So I stand corrected.  Still a gorgeous car!  Thank you, Uwe! )
