1982 BMW 323i Baur

1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Baur Spotted in San Pedro, CA!

thanks to reelizmpro in E30 Bimmerforums for posting this pic of a Baur he spotted in San Pedro, CA.  He said there is also another one in the area, so we hope to hear something about that soon also.

Does anyone know this Baur?

According to reelizmpro, it has body-colored windshield wipers!  Nice looking Baur!

Do we know this Baur already?  OK, Baurspotters:  can we get the Baur plate number from this Baur to add it to the International Baur Registry, if it isn't already listed?

Stay tuned!  Baurspotting is ON THE CASE!  :)

  1. Just a comment - I saw this very Baur (or one in the same color, in close-to the same location with the same wheels and ride-height) on Saturday (12 April 2014) cruising through the parking lot at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Dark haired guy with aviator sunglasses driving, blonde-ish female in the passenger seat. Clearly a manual gearbox.

If I wasn't on a moving bus I'd have chased them down.

Check the comments section here for some more info. This lends some credence to the "there's another one in the area" theory - one of the other commenters swears that the driver of the Baur he saw was a little old lady whereas the one I saw was clearly driven by a guy in his 20's.

Anyways, love the site, will continue to check back for more info.

  2. Thanks for posting, Ryan. I was just checking some things and came across your comment. Has this Baur been seen since? How about the 'little old lady'-driven Baur? Can there be two similar Baurs like this in the area? :)
