1982 BMW 323i Baur

1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Make it 3 (!) Baurs (so far) at Mid-America Fest 2014!

Finale:  Cars and Drivers at the Mid-America '02 Fest 2014

This pic is from Rob Siegel, and you have a better shot of the two Baurs up front.  If you look carefully, you can see the third Baur also!  ;)  Thank you, Rob!!

UPDATE!  8:35 pm Friday.  Thanks to Mike P. .... we can positively identify all THREE Baur Targas at Mid-America '02 Fest 2014!

We already know that the white one is Terry Sayther's M2 Targa!  The red Targa is the one that belongs to Terry's wife, Debbie, which we have also mentioned in Baurspotting!

The THIRD Baur Targa that we have in the post below...... is ALSO a familiar Baur to Baurspotting:  JPLips Baur!  We have featured all three of these Baur Targas here in Baurspotting before.... when they got together in Texas last November!

Here it is:

Yes, indeed folks, this is further confirmation that this is a Small Baur World!  :)  You heard it here FIRST!

:)

Baurspotting:  the hardest working Baur site on the Internet!  ;)

Thanks to our friends and fellow Baur owners Mike and Eileen P. for posting these pics in Facebook today!  First pics of Baurs at the 2014 Mid-America '02 Fest in Eureka Springs, AR today!

You can just see Terry and Debbie S.'s M2 Baur Cabrio Targa at right of pic.

Sayther's M2 Targa again on the right.

Full frontal of the Sayther Targa.

I am trying to determine the identity of the dark Baur Cabrio Targa at left.

Thanks, Mike and Eileen!  Have a ball!

Stay tuned!

UPDATE:  Thanks to Humberto M. for this pic from the Best Western Eureka , Arkansas today!

thanks to Gerard Wineinger for these Baur pics taken in Crane, MO after a drive at the Mid-America '02 Fest today:

We have not positively identified that Baur, but we do know of a Baur Targa in Tennessee.... hard to tell if the color matches.... and it had different wheels in our file pics.  We await more info to confirm its identity.

So stay tuned!!  :)
