1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

E9 Cabrio! Whoa!

Thanks to BMW Sharknose Meeting for posting pics of the 2013 event that includes these pics of an E9 Cabrio!

Can anyone tell us anything about this car?

The guy on the left is doing a double-take on this!   "Whoa... what is this?'   ;)  Which is exactly what I did when I saw it!

Thanks BMW Sharknose Meeting!

More pics from jenskramer:

Mike Pugh sent us some more pics of an E9 Cabrio from his Bavarian Tour a couple of years ago!

Mike notes that it looks like it used E30 convertible parts, as you can see here.  That does look exactly like my 1989 E30 convertible.

Thanks, Mike!

And here are some pics from Ulli Ke of another E9 Cabrio:

Here is some other info that I have found on E9 Cabrios:

  1. The green one is mine ;-)
It´s based on a 1972 3,0cs and modified by SimaPower.
For more fun it has an M88/3 286 hp inside :-))

  2. Thanks for responding with that info. The colors are not good in these pics. By 'the green one', are you referring to the first one above with the plate "DU E 972H"? :)
