1982 BMW 323i Baur

1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

1996 Japanese-spec 318ti Compact Open-air (Japan)

Thanks to chichy in 2002FAQ for the link to this brochure!  It is a 1996 Japan-only (I believe) 318ti Compact Open-Air!  It is not a Baur, but it does have a unique canvas top!  I thought some folks might enjoy seeing this.

"Canvas top "open-air" was introduced as a special edition in Japan specification car."

  1. Actually it's a 318ti California Edition. BMW produced them between 1996 and 1999, about 1200 the first year and only about 550 the last. They're quite rare but still many of them have made it to the U.S.A.
