Congratulations to our friend, Andrew Wilson, on his newest acquisition: a 1969 BMW 1600 Cabriolet by Baur! This comes as a total surprise to us, although we do know that Andrew has expressed an interest in the Baur Cabrios over the years!
Andrew informs us that he arranged the purchase through Mario Langsten at VSR in Maine, and that the car was restored in japan in the 1980s. Mario apparently also gave it a name: Veronica! A nice match with Andrew's other 2002: his Verona 'Vern'.
And btw, we believe that this may make TWO red 1600 Baur Cabrio in Maine. Scroll down to see some file pics that we have from July 18, 2017. Although they are very similar, it does appear that they are two different cars. ;)
So, congratulations to Andrew and Cindy, and Welcome to our Baur World! And welcome to Baurspotting!

Here are some photos that we have on file of another 1600 Baur Cabrio in Maine. This one was spotted by Joe Goldsberry in Wells, Maine in July 2017.
Congratulations to Andrew and Cindy!
P.S. Here is a photo of Andrew Wilson's 'Vern', who will be "Veronica's" garage mate. ;)
