1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

    Tom,

    Small correction: that is indeed Mike and Eileen P. on the left, but that is not Dawn and me on the right. To be honest, I'm not quite sure who that couple is; I don't think that they are Baur owners, however.

    Oh, and I forgot to mention that we met two other Baur owners there who couldn't bring their Baurs: Harry from Puerto Rico (traveling with his friend Umberto) and Chris, a firefighter from Philadelphia.

    The latter's is a particularly sad story as his Baur was wrecked badly as it sat parked in front of his house; worse, it is a 2002 Baur. But Chris is determined to rebuild it, hence he has already had some of the body damage pulled-out and has begun collecting parts for the effort; props to Chris for that.

    Hi Jeff, I have made the corrections on the pic. sorry about that..... I took a wild guess, and I couldn't reach Ed to confirm the identities. I know both Harry and Chris through bimmerforums and Baurspotting.
