More Lime Rock "Sunday in the Park" September 1, 2013

Here are some pics posted by other BMW attendees to the show. sincere thank you to all for granting permission to use these pics. The event was just too huge for one person to do it justice. So here you see the pics from 7 (now 8!) other folks, in addition to the 90 plus pics that I have already posted. Almost 200 pics added here! Perhaps the reader will begin to gain a sense of the enormity of this fantastic afternoon!

First, to set the proper tone..... here we see Designated Driver Willy W. giving a tour of the Park to a group off hard core BMW '02 revelers in his BMW Farmobil. This was certainly one of the highlights of the day, especially for (l to r) Frank G., Willy W., Scott S. (who designed and produced that "Far Out, Man" commemorative t-shirt of the event that he is modelling), Lawrence C., and Matt P. By all accounts, they are having as much fun as they look like they are having in this pic! Great shot, Steve K.! Thank you, Willy!

We can go any further without acknowledging the great job that our friend, Scott S. did on those Lime Rock "Sunday in the Park' t-shirts!

WTF Dept: Woman drives off in wrong car in Milford, New Hampshire

If you were looking for another reason to pat yourself on the back for choosing to drive that old, rare or unusual vehicle..... here it is! Chances are pretty good that this will never happen to you!

I believe that my Lapisblau E21 Baur may be the only one of its kind in the entire.... Western Hemisphere! (Sheesh! Can that really be the case? I never really thought about that before but.... I think it may be true!)

UPDATE: I just double checked my files. I am wrong. There is, in fact, a Lapisblau E21 Baur in Uruguay! It is a 320/6, however and mine is a 323i. So I may have the only '323i' Lapisblau E21 Baur in the Western Hemisphere!

MILFORD, N.H. —An Amherst woman found herself in the middle of a strange mix-up after a quick stop at Lull Farm in Milford on Friday.

Bridget Bennett’s gray Toyota Camry disappeared while she was shopping at the farm stand. She had left her keys in the car, and Margaret O’Brien of Nashua had left her keys inside her car, an identical Camry.

O’Brien hopped into the wrong car and drove it away. She went to a doctor’s appointment and didn’t realize she had the wrong car until she went looking for her sunglasses.

“The trouble is there are an awful lot of Camrys the same color, so we both made the mistake of leaving our keys in the car, which led to the problem,” Bennett said.

Bennett’s car was missing for two hours, prompting Milford police to issue an alert.

Police were able to arrange an exchange and send both women home in their own cars.

Police called it an honest mistake.
