Newer Seats and door panels in Moss green, a new Dashboard and Steering Wheel are ready for installation upon restoration. The engine the '79 model year, an M20, inline fuel injected 6 cylinder came with is the largest output motor offered in the 323 and the Euro Model even more so. The HP to weight ratio 100km/h in 8.7 seconds with a top Speed of 200km/h ( 124 Mph). According to Wikipedia US 4,595, Baur Cabriolets were ever produced. The 323 e21 was offered only in the 2nd half of the Production run.
Our Baur has been titled in California since 2010 and has had a new European Imported Convertible Soft top installed. We do not know the condition of the Automatic transmission, however, the Engine can be turned over mechanically. The front Windscreen and the rear Vinyl window are in good condition. Most of the body is straight with some dings and rust evident. Bits and parts need to be sourced to finish a restoration and the car will need to be resprayed and the motor rebuilt. It has 5 alloy wheels which come with. Showing 95,323 miles on the odo it has low miles for the year and with the proper work can be made into the Classic it has become. They are a unique and fun BMW series and offer years of Value and pleasure to come.
