1982 BMW 323i Baur

1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Baurs at Larz Prologue: The Meetup

Baurs at BMW Day, Larz Anderson Auto Museum, Brookline MA August 11, 2013
8/11/2013  5:45am .  Top down, gear loaded, heading up to Brookline MA!

Hazard Switch Repair:  Done!
My hazard switch failed as I was getting things prepared for the trip.  See this earlier post for the full story.

We had made arrangements to gather our little troupe together at a CVS parking lot in Newton, MA, about 10 minutes away from the venue.  Our plan was then to drive together to the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, and our 'en masse' arrival would allow us to park together:  three rarely seen Baur Top Cabriolets together with an ultra-rare 1502 Lumma Cabriolet!

By about 8:15am we were 'all hands on deck':  Ed, his wife Marty, and Rodney all came from New Hampshire, Jerry and Cindy R. from Plymouth, MA, and yours truly from Connecticut.

Our group arrived at the Museum at 9am (opening time) .... and it worked like a charm!  The Event Staff directed us to park in the very front row!  Woo Hoo!  ;)
