1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Bimmerlife Magazine: New! March 2020

A new magazine arrived today, out of the blue! “Guest” Editor is Jackie Jouret, formerly of the late Bimmer Magazine. While I have no interest in the new BMWs, I did enjoy seeing some of the news from the various regional chapters. Especially since there were three photos of Baurs! The New York Chapter had a red E30 TC2, unidentified owner, and a Euro 1984 323i dark color (I think we may know that Baur!); and the White Mountain Chapter featured Bill Hutchings red 1973 Cabrio Targa by Baur! We would love to contact these owners, so if you know them.... please put us in touch! We may know them but it is hard to tell from these photos. Thanks in advance!

1971 BMW 2002 Cabriolet by Baur on Bring a Trailer!

Thanks to Curtis Shifflett for the heads up on this beauty!  Wow!

"This 1971 BMW 2002 is one of 200 full cabriolets built by Baur over a sixth-month production run and was completed on June 21, 1971. Finished in Inka over a black interior featuring Pepita seat inserts, the car was ordered from Baur by its first owner in August 1971 and is also believed to have been used as a demonstration or display vehicle. A refurbishment was carried out by Oldenzaal Classics in the Netherlands and completed in early 2019, after which the car was acquired by the selling dealer and imported to the US. The powertrain was rebuilt during the project, including the numbers-matching 2.0-liter M10 inline-four. This 2002 voll cabriolet has been driven just 150 kilometers since completion of the refurbishment and is now offered with early purchase and service documents, photos from the refurbishment, a BMW Classic Certificate, and a clean Texas title."
