1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

I found this on Facebook this morning. The comments from Rene Berlik speak for themselves.  I look forward to getting some more info and pics.

I found the last (official) BMW 1600-2 convertible. VIN 1558682 and i am glad to tell you, we will put it back on the Road. Greetings from Germany.

And yes, it got the wrong front end.
Gonna get the right front from BMW. New. Like i did with the 73 2002tii, i did last year. But, thanks for the offer.
Convertible is totally original. Was driven by an old Lady till 1988. From 1988 on, it was stored in a barn. The grandson of the old Lady wants to drive it again and keep it in the family. Wont be sold.
