1982 BMW 323i Baur

1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Most Expensive 325ix Baur Built!

Thanks to Baur Guru Jeroen J. of The Netherlands for these pics of this gorgeous Calypsorot TC2 325ix!   Nice color combination, and it is an ix!!!  I love it!

N.B.  BMW/Baur only built 114 of these 325ix Baur models.  No 325ix Baurs were imported to the US, and Baurspotting has yet to find a single one that came in via the 'grey market"  None, Zip, Nada.  I live in New England, USA.  This would be the perfect year-round car for our climate:  a convertible AWD!  I would love to own one of these cars!

Here are Jeroen's notes posted with the pics:
The B49540-13, the most expensive TC2 build. It's a 325iX Automatic and has both "Sonderlackierung" as "Sonderausstattung":  (Special paint special equipment). The calypso red it is, wasn't standard available on a 325iX, the interior is nappa-leather in "Lotus-white". It's now for sale in Switzerland for 12800 Franks (that's about €10500,- or $14000,-).
