1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. Nkululeko Manrazo Ngcobo's 323i in South Africa!

Thanks aqnd congratulations to Nkululeko Manrazo Ngcobo for posting pics of his 323i Baur in Old School Beemers today!

Note that the Baur frame is body-colored (red) rathert than black.  Baurs built at Stuttgart have a black Baur top frame.  This is a South African-built Baur, thus it will not have a Baur number plate.  There were about 3,000 E30 BMWs converted to "Top Cabriolets' by BMW in South Africa under license to Baur.  This is one of them!   (This is a different car, btw.  I found this posted on Nkululeko's Facebook page. Note that it is a 325i, not a 323i)   :)
