Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Rear Hardtops For TC2 Baurs

This post originated when Mateo Cono posted some pics in the Baur BMW Owners Facebook page of his TC2 Baur in France, showing his repainted (and rare) hard top which can be used in place of the rear soft top.  The rear window is heated, btw.

Here are a few examples, including Mateo's.

The last three pics are from this page in the Dutch Baur Owners website:

Here is an additional comment from Jeroen July 16 in Facebook:

Jeroen Janssen They sometimes pop up on ebay.de. About 250-300 where build. If a car

was delivered original with a hardtop, the digits which tell the coulour of the roof are

different. With a black sonnenland roof, this means that it would have been B47095-63. The

hardtop was available in every roof colour, but not as PVC.

Thanks to Mateo for the original post, and thanks to Jeroen Janssen and Charles Merlen for the additional information!
