1982 BMW 323i Baur

1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Colchester Green Cruise 2019 Finale

Weatherwise, at least,  2019 has been a tough year for the Colchester Green Car Show. They have had to postpone or even cancel several of their monthly shows due to the inclement weather. Not so tonight, however:  a beautiful quasi-fall day with a decent turnout for the season finale!  Even Channel 3 Hartford was on The Green tonight!

Channel 3 Hartford was on the scene.

I told them I was gonna make them famous... by putting them on my blog!  ;)

Hot Rods.
Pontiac

For Rob Siegel.

Cadillac Convertible

1964 Chevy

Part of the German contingent.

Another German representative.

Historic Bacon Academy is hidden by the trees at the left.
For the history buffs in the crowd:  here is what that scene looked like in 1803.

You don't see one of these very often!  A blown Pinto dragster!

Yikes!  ;)

Buick Skylark convertible.

Yet another German rep!

OK, everybody knows I have a soft spot for Road Runners, especially blue ones!  Awesome!

One of two Corvairs on the field tonight!  The other was a Monza!

The Baurspotting Baur in the middle.  ;)

One of these cars is the real deal. Only one.  The other is a .... kit car.  ;)

Kit car on the left.  OK, it's cool.  But the REAL thing (AC Cobra) would be worth about a million bucks!

1955 Dodge Truck!  Very close resemblance to my old 1953 Dodge from my high school days in the late 1960s.

Another German entry.  A cousin of the VW.  I think they call it a Porsche.  ;)

Trucks are popular at the Colchester Show!

Channel 3 again!

Chrome and fins era.

Studebaker convertible.  Wow!

1961 Chevy Convertible

A Trophy Winner.

Another Road Runner.

Mercury Cougar.
