Can You Identify This Car: a Baur-type, but yet not a Baur! What is it? :)

Here is an unusual find by our friend Adolf Marcinkowsky today. It appears to be a "Baur-type" cabrio,

 but it is different from the Baur. Check out the "C" pillar.... it is not a Baur.  Or IS it?  If not a Baur, then 

 ... what IS it,? 

 Notice the "C" pillar is body-colored, and thicker than a Baur C pillar.  Could that be a piece added to help seal the convertible roof?

Does anyone know this car, or can anyone shed any light on it?  All input is welcome!
