1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

Curtis W.: Our Man In LA Nails the TC2 Baur!

Huge thank you to our friend and fellow Baur owner, Curtis W., who accepted our request to take a trip to check out the reports of Baurs and 2002s in Whittier CA!

Thank you, Curtis!  Our Man in LA!    :)

Wow!  Could we ask for a better pic of the Baur plate number!  Curtis, you da Man!  :)

Ok, so this is a project.  No question about that.

Did you notice those wheels?  Do they look like these?  These are Borrani wheels.  They could be knock offs, I suppose.   But if they are real Borranis.... well, that improves the interest level for this little item.

Thank you again to Curtis for making the effort and taking the time to check this out!

Curtis also took pics of the 2002s that were also on hand and for sale.  I will post those in a separate post soon.. So stay tuned!

There was also supposed to be an E21 Baur that was shown in the craigs list ad, but Curtis reported that the seller said that was located on another property about 50 miles away!  We will try to track that one down also.

Kudos, Curtis!

  1. I think that the wheels on the E30 Baur are the standard factory 14" steelies.
