Welcome to Part III!
We are finally going to see the extent to which Andreas went to restore this very special Baur #000001. You will recall in Part II we saw the sad condition the car was in when he purchased it. Recognizing that this is indeed an historic vehicle, it appears that Andreas took his restoration work very seriously.

Stunning work. The pictures speak for themselves. You can also see the volume of new parts that will be installed as part of the restoration process.
Coming Attractions: Part IV, The Debut of the First Baur
Here is a pic of the Baur's appearance shortly before the restoration process was completed. You can see the rear window still needs to be replaced, and the fuel filler door is not installed. I think you will agree that it is coming along nicely, however!
Still to come: The Debut of the restored Baur #000001; the reunion of Baur #000001 with one of the Baur employees who helped build it; the Reunion of Baur #000001 with the Final TC1 Baur #004595; and the man who now owns both Baurs, and was responsible for this beautiful restoration.
