Historic Festival 31

August 30 - September 2, 2013, Historic Festival 31 & Sunday in the Park ConcoursNo other venue in the U.S. has three days of on-track racing sandwiching a prestigious concours event – all on the same property. Since 1983, the East Coast’s premier vintage racing event has been the Historic Festival and its companion “Sunday in the Park Concours” (Sept. 1). With its famous free paddock access for all fans, Historic Festival 31 will be a feast for the senses: More than 300 vintage race cars will fill the grounds, the Swap Meet in the B Paddock will be packed, the Midway is always alive with activities – and the racing on the track is non-stop from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Monday. Historic Festival 31... There’s nothing like it anywhere else

3)  Vintage at Saratoga 2013  The BIG one!
2013 marks the fourth year of Vintage at Saratoga. This year we are gathering on the lawn of the Saratoga Automobile Museum in October so that we may pair with the opening weekend of the BMW Vintage and Classic Car Club of America’s week long holiday. While the two are separate and stand alone events we will join in on a few shared activities. October also marks the closing weeks of the museum’s BMW exhibit and so attendees will also be treated to experience some of the very finest classic BMWs cars on the floor of the museum.

Two amazing Baurs are ALREADY inside the Saratoga Automobile Museum for the exhibition:  the famous Andy Warhol M1 Art Car, and the Frank Stella M1 Art Car!   Lothar Schuettler's Concours-Winning 1937 BMW 328, considered by BMW to be the most original 328 IN THE WORLD, is also already there!

P.T. Barnum, on his best day, wishes that he had, in his day, the

scope and breadth of the show that Frank and Scott have brought to

Saratoga!
-----  Paraphrased with loving respect from "GET SHORTY" (1995), From the novel by Elmore Leonard, starring John Travolta, Gene Hackman, Rene Russo and Danny Devito. One of my Top Five Movies of all time.    ;)
