200HP Turbo Schnitzer Baur From Michael Compensis!

I love getting stuff like this from Baurspotters around the globe!  Here is an email sent to me yesterday from our friend and fellow Baur owner Michael Compensis in Germany!  It is a magazine article dating back to 1982.  Thanks, Michael!


"Hi Tom,

look what I found today in an old magazine, a short peek at this unique BAUR TC1, as a „Schnitzer Turbo“ with 200HP an 240km/h maximum speed.

A bit overdone are the 40 loudspeakers and the „clarion“ hi-fi tower in th center-console :-)

Look at the prices… the car like this did cost 78.935 Deutsch-Marks (for example, a regular 323i did cost 22.000 Deutsch Marks)

We have seen pics of this Baur before, but I do not think we have seen this article.

The question is....... where is this Baur today?  ;)
