1985 BMW Baur TC2 E30/320i - $4000 (Portland)

Thanks to our friend Artur Tadevosyan for the heads up on this Baur for sale in Oregon.  It looked familiar to me, and it took me a while, but sure enough..... we know this Baur!  Small Baur World!  Check this link* to see a post we did about this Baur #3139 back in 2013!

Here is the text from the craigslist ad:
1985 BMW E30/320i BAUR TC2
BAUR Tag # 43139-13
approx 337k mi. $4,000.00
I have owned this car about 11 years. Originally a private import to the U.S., this car is very unique and sought after by BMW enthusiasts. Garaged and in solid driving condition. She has SP plates as it is only driven in the summer to car events and for road trips. If you keep the SP plates, you will never need to DEQ or tag her again. You can re-register her with regular plates - and she will pass DEQ - if you choose to do this. I don't drive her enough to warrant the extra expense. Car has been insured since purchase. Being 31 years old, this machine is not perfect, but close! No rust issues! OBC is German language. She has her original running euro 6 cylinder (320/6) power plant and manual 5-sp tranny. She has brand new euro fog lights. Comes with 14" bottle cap rims that have excellent tread. Rear cabriolet top in good condition and plastic window is solid. Includes canvas snap-on cover for when cabriolet top is lowered. Targa top in good condition and fits into place w/ snap straps to keep it in place. Targa top sits on rails in the trunk when it is removed.
The drivers side high-beam was destroyed by a flying rock. The blank space is now filtered and serving as a direct-air intake. Also included are new crank seals (F+R), valve cover/oil pan gaskets & giubo + a bunch of other hard to find parts for this E30/320i (which is an oddity in itself).

Someone swerved into my lane at 20mph a few months ago, and they flattened the passenger fender a bit and slightly bent the front euro fender. The fender can be replaced and the bumper easily straightened.

I recently bought an 1986 325 for a parts car and currently using it as a daily driver. The reason I bought it though, is because it has a good front fender, black door cards, upgrade to larger radiator, working electric windows, electric locks, LSD diff, larger front struts and more. Basically, the '86 could complete the Baur entirely. I'll throw it in for an extra $1500 of you want it.

Clear title. Motivated seller! Priced right for the right collector.

She is also listed in the International Baur Registry.
Google "international Baur registry" and click the "A Rare Bird: The E30 Baur" link for more historical info..
I will respond to emails with a telephone number.
Thank you
