Vintage at Saratoga Part I: Friday

First Installment of our trip to the Vintage at Saratoga, our favorite car show!  Stay tuned for several more installments, currently in the works!  ;)

Soon come, mon!

Departure point, SE Connecticut.  Full tank of gas, fresh grinders from our local Italian Groceria loaded.  190 miles to Saratoga Springs, NY.  Pic taken at noon Friday, July 10, 2015.

Partial fleet reunion at Brian's place, preparing to depart for Saratoga, midday Friday.  Our 1991 E30 325ix at the left, 1989 E30 325iC convertible at right.... Baurspotting E21 Baur in the center!

We are planning to meet up with Afonso's E21 Baur near the Connecticut/MA border, and then connect with our new friend, Jose Rosario at a service area on the Mass Pike, and caravan together to Saratoga!
The only two known E21 Baurs in Connecticut enroute together to the BMW Vintage at Saratoga!  Baurspotting Baur at the left, Afonso Conceicao's Baur at right.  Pic by Jose Rosario in his E36 330i coupe.  Thank you, Jose!
Our balcony at the Roosevelt Inn and Suites, host hotel for the Vintage.  This is a suite.
Batmobile Tribute car parked at the Roosevelt Friday afternoon.

 Chuck Moss' E9 coupe.

Afonso and my son, Brian, at The Parting Glass for the "Meet and Greet' dinner.

Tom (Baurspotting)  at left with our good friend and fellow Baur owner, Afonso at The Parting Glass. Yes, a good time was had by all, as you can plainly see.  ;)
After dinner we (Brian and I, along with Afonso and our friend Joe Cunningham, an '02 owner from Norwich CT) took a stroll (highly recommended!) around downtown Saratoga.  Here we are watching one of the many street performers (in this case a magician).  He was really pretty amazing, and we enjoyed it very much.  Joe is at the left of the pic, and Brian is at the right.
Here the magician is restoring a Rubik's cube, scrambled by a member of the audience, while blindfolded and using only one hand.  Pretty amazing, and very entertaining.  Yes, he nailed it perfectly!  I love Saratoga!
