Baurhunting: Have You Seen This Baur? SOLVED!

I posted similar to this in bimmerforums back on April 16, 2011.
This photo was taken at Lime Rock Park on Vintage weekend in September 2010. I should have been there, but I didn't make it. Were you there that day? Do you know this car? It is a beauty!

Any ideas or suggestions, please email me @ tom82baur@gmail.com

This mystery has been solved!  We posted this pic a couple of times in the "Baur TC1s in the US " thread in bimmerforums, (February 23, 2011 and April 16, 2011) without any success in identifying it.  Then, on April 19, 2011, John M from New Jersey posted the following:

"Hey,

That's my 82 baur. I was at the lime rock historics on Sunday Labor Day weekend last year. Same car that was on the Martha's Vinyard Ferry.

Thank you, John, for helping us clear that up!  Once again, it appears that we are closing in on at least locating and, in some cases, actually identifying many of the US Baurs.  We have reports on roughly 75 US TC1 Baurs... and many of those reports remain just that:  reports.  We have attached pins to the Google map showing where they have been reported, and there are still many of those that have not been further identified.

Some of those 'reports', as in this case, have turned out to be cars that were already known and identified to us... and we just needed some confirmation on that. The Baur belonging to msbehame36 is another example.  That car has turned up in 3 or 4 different places, advertised for sale a couple of times over the past few years in NJ and PA.  Conkitchen's white 'mystery' Baur is yet another example... turning up with Oregon plates in one photo, and then winding up in his garage in California.  The 1979 320/6 that I almost bought last year has been shown to be in the Boston area in 2008, Mystic CT in 2010, and was last seen in the Philadelphia area.  I am sure that we will turn up more examples of this kind of thing as we proceed.

On the other hand, a quick review of the pins on the Google map will reveal quite a number of reports/sighting that we haven't been able to pin down.  Yet.  So we still have lots of work to do, Baurhunters.   :)

I haven't even included, of course, those Baurs that are secreted away in someone's barn, garage, or bank vault!  Needless to say, those cars will remain elusive and hard to find.
