RARE 1986 BMW 316 Baur Cabriolet, Automatic, 1.8L petrol.
Loads receipts, m.o.t's, service stuff.
Full Zenda bodykit. Alloy wheels, Leather.
The car ran and drove well prior to being taken off the road in 2007.I have owned this car since 2006 where it has been dry stored and restoration started.
All body work , floor and chassis been done inc rear inner arches, where needed and the car is currently in primer, and some colour being metallic blue of which there should be enough there to finish the job if you should choose to keep this colour.Been put on hold in this state for 3 years while i have been restoring a Daimler Dart.
There are a couple small dents appeared on bonnet during its storage since work ceased and there maybe a couple other dings.
There is a new roof covering and rear screen and appropiate material, still wrapped. Also a tan leather seat set for it.
It will need carpeting and interior trim, also windscreen has gone awol. Most other parts to finish are there.
Mechanically it will start still and run,although brakes etc will have been checked when i started it they will no doubt need a clean up, it has 4 good tyres on alloy wheels.
This project along with a Mini (also listed) were next in line but I have injured my back which has slowed me right down so I have decided to sell one or other or both while i await a scan etc.
I know these don't command a lot of money as yet but you wont find a better one to bring up to spec.
I have based my sale price on money already spent ,work done, and others similar currently on the market, all it now needs is painting and putting back together and will make a cracking car especially with the bodykit which looks good on it..
A really rough Baur barn find has just sold for £800 on ebay, (assuming genuine bid ) and an on the road runner is approaching £2000, so sensible offers please.
