Ullom Wins BMW Friend Of The Marque Award
Goetz Pfafflin presents the Friend Of The Marque award to Ed Ullom.
There are few honors in BMW Land as prestigious as the Friend Of The Marque award presented by the BMW International Council. Contenders must be nominated by member organizations like the BMW Car Club of America; the honor is so rare that years can come and go with no awards presented.
Not so 2012.
In November, former BMW dealer, racer, and avid car-collector Ed Ullom stepped into his Bullenstall Museum in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, to be greeted by 120 friends—many from the Nittany Bimmers Chapter. After a standing ovation and rousing applause, Ullom was presented with the prestigious Friend Of The Marque award by Goetz Pfafflin of the BMW Vintage & Classic Car Club of America.
In addition to the certificate, a plaque, and a lapel pin from the BMW International Council, Ullom received a banner signed by the attendees—plus a box of his favorite cigars and a special engraved lighter. Congratulations from all of us in the BMW CCA!—Lou Ann Shirk
